Indigenous Vision is expanding its work to offer professional coaching services rooted in positive psychology, bringing a culturally informed approach to personal growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
Through training with the Positive Psychology Coaching and Diversity Institute, our coaches, Souta Calling Last and Melissa Spence, are drawing from evidence-informed positive psychology and coaching practices to help individuals identify their strengths, challenge limiting beliefs, clarify their goals, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Our coaching is open to everyone—including Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
What makes our approach distinct is that Indigenous Vision brings an Indigenous perspective to the coaching relationship. As an Indigenous-led organization, we understand that individual wellbeing does not exist in isolation from history, culture, community, and the realities people have inherited from generations before them.
For Indigenous people, this can include the ongoing impacts of colonization, cultural disruption, genocide, displacement, and other historical and contemporary systems that continue to shape families, communities, and individual experiences. Our approach recognizes these realities without reducing Indigenous people to them. We believe people deserve space to acknowledge what has been carried forward while also identifying their strengths, possibilities, values, and vision for the future.
Our coaching is also aimed to continue the lifelong work and process of cultural humility. For those who have completed our Cultural Humility training, IV can provide an opportunity to continue putting that learning into practice—not simply as a professional skill, but as an ongoing process of self-reflection, accountability, and personal growth.
Whether you are navigating a major life transition, working toward a goal, questioning old patterns, developing stronger boundaries, or simply ready to stop getting in your own way, Indigenous Vision’s coaching services offer a space to move forward with intention.
